Khao Luang National Park

Khao Luang National Park

  • Khao Luang National Park consists of mountainous wave of tropical rain forests spreading throughout an area of 570 square kilometers within Nakornsrithammarat Province. The park was named after Khao Luang, the highest peak shooting up to 1,835 meters. Although it was established in 1974, Khao Luang officially opened for visitors in 1983. The lush evergreen forests support a diversity of wildlife and variety of monthane and sub-monthane bird species in peninsular of Thailand.

       Attractive bird includes:

  • Rufous-collared Kingfisher, White-crowned Hornbill, Bushy-crested Hornbill, Red-throated Barbet, and Banded Broadbill.
